Arcada Township is located in Gratiot County and is near the center of Michigan’s lower peninsula. According to the 2000 U.S. Census, the population was 1,708 people. The City of Alma is on the northern edge of the township and the City of Ithaca is at the southeast corner of the township. The Census Bureau also states that the township has a total area of 32.7 square miles, of which 32.5 square miles of it is land and 0.2 square miles of it is water. As of 2000, there were 655 households and 495 families residing in the township.
